ZAGREB - Citizens of the European Union for half a year will be able to freely buy property in Croatia without any restrictions, which will equate to Croatian citizens, while the restrictions remain for other foreigners.
Namely, 1 February next year, will start to apply from the contract negotiation to stop Croatia section Free movement of capital, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Gordan Jandroković in May sent Vesna Pusic, chairperson of the National Committee for monitoring negotiations with the EU.
In the negotiations is the only Malta, as small island states, to qualify for the special restrictions for the purchase of real estate. Croatia, according to the example of Poland where it is successful, search for the term of 12 years of EU accession.
Until now, foreigners have bought properties founding the company in or through acquaintances, and from next year will be buying even easier because it will power and physical persons.
